We established Asset Recovery Team, LLC as a company dedicated to reuniting individuals and companies with funds held by various State treasury unclaimed property departments. ​

Our team is made up of individuals with knowledge and experience in helping individuals and companies reclaim their "lost" funds. Our goal is to make the process as efficient as possible. We do all the legwork - you just have to sign the forms and wait for the check to arrive!

Don's career as an estates/trusts/taxation paralegal spans twenty years! In that role, he has first-hand experience assisting individuals, executors/trustees, and companies in reclaiming monies held by various State treasury offices ("escheated funds"). He knows that life happens, and unexpected or major life events (new job, moving, death in the family, changes in staffing) can result in uncashed checks or forgotten accounts ending up in the custody of someone else for safekeeping. But for occasional public notices, the roster of unclaimed funds is too great for those treasury departments to try and locate each individual owner, especially when there's likelihood that the contact information has changed, someone has passed away, etc. Don enjoys the "hunt" for these unclaimed funds, and finds great satisfaction in reuniting them with their rightful owners.
